Adele’s marital status has long been the subject of speculation. Though she has referred to her partner, Rich Paul, as her “husband,” neither has confirmed whether they are married. However, she may have given fans another hint during a recent concert in Munich, Germany. People reports that during a concert on Thursday, she responded to a fan asking for her hand in marriage by saying, “I can’t marry you, I’m already getting married,” waving her left hand.
If this is confirmation that she’s engaged, it wouldn’t be much of a shock. Earlier this year, the award-winning singer told another concert audience that she was ready to expand her family with Paul, saying she wants another child and is “desperate for a girl.” She also predicted that any future daughter with Paul will likely have a big personality. “She’s going to put me in my place all the time, isn’t she?” she said, adding, “With me as her mother and Rich as her father, she’s going to be a bossy little queen, isn’t she?”
The 36-year-old began dating Paul, a sports agent, in 2021. A baby girl would grow the couple’s blended family: The British artist shares an 11-year-old son, Angelo, with her ex-husband Simon Konecki, while Paul has three children from a previous relationship.
While People reports Adele didn’t appear to be wearing a ring on Thursday, she was seen with a diamond on her ring finger earlier this summer. “I’ve never been in love like this,” she told Elle in 2022. “I’m obsessed with him.”
