Conor Kennedy — the son of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the rumored inspiration for a handful of Taylor Swift songs — is engaged. The usually private Kennedy took to Instagram to share the news in a joint slideshow with his now-fiancée, Giulia Bourguignon Marinho.
In the post captioned “easiest yes of all time,” the couple recounted the details of their engagement in Los Angeles. Apparently, Kennedy proposed in a candlelit room with a ring from Tiffany & Co. “I literally can’t believe this. I’m dreaming, this is a dream,” she says in the video the couple shared.
Bourguignon Marinho — also known as Giulia Be — is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and actress, and the two have been dating since February 2022. Kennedy previously dated model Ava Dash, the daughter of Damon Dash and Rachel Roy. Kennedy was also linked to Swift for a few heavily photographed months in 2012 — a whirlwind romance that inspired songs on her Grammy-nominated album Red and her short-lived decision to buy a home near the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port.
One of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s six children, Conor previously made headlines when he was arrested at a Keystone XL protest in 2013. In 2022, he revealed in an Instagram post that he had secretly enlisted in Ukraine’s International Legion. Unlike his cousin Jack Schlossberg, Conor does not appear to have made his feelings about his father’s presidential candidacy public. In the meantime, it’s nice to hear news from the Kennedys that isn’t related to a bear or a worm.
