Celebrities Can’t Get Enough of Jeff Bezos’s Yacht

The high priest and priestess of yachting are back aboard Jeff Bezos’s $485 million mid-life-crisis purchase, once again joined by a disturbing bevy of A-list celebrities. Koru, the name of the Amazon founder’s prized possession, previously attracted the likes of Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom. This time, the vacationing quartet was joined in Sardinia by Leonardo DiCaprio and his 26-year-old girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, per “Page Six.” I can’t imagine this group had all that much to talk about outside of congratulating Bezos’s fiancée, Lauren Sanchez, on last year’s Vogue cover for the umpteenth time, pretending to know the words to Perry’s single “Woman’s World,” or throwing around buzzwords like climate change while downing beers and shouting “Ahoy!”

The eclectic group — united mainly by a desire to hang out with one of the richest men in the world — was photographed boarding Bezos’s skiff for a beachside lunch. DiCaprio behaved in his usual sullen, don’t-look-at-me manner, while Bloom seemed eager for his midsection to be photographed. Sanchez, who has been aggressively courting the approval of the couture world since teaming up with Bezos, wore a slinky lace cover-up, while Perry opted for a dizzying combination of chevrons and fringe. Perhaps she has been getting style tips from Mrs. Deadpool lately?

At the very least, I’m glad to see Bezos getting his money’s worth in paparazzi photos considering he spent nearly four years building the 230-foot-tall sailing yacht. That’s totally ecoconscious behavior! Even so, it doesn’t hurt to have DiCaprio onboard, and Bezos has reportedly considered him a “really close friend” for years. Their common ground, according to “Page Six”? “The fight against climate change and their work in environmental activism.” Nothing says saving the planet like a little soirée on the high seas. Keep up the good work, guys.
